I love homemade pizza. It’s so versatile and quick! The dough recipe I use require no rise time which makes it an easy choice for a week night. I used ingredients I had on hand for this pizza. I’m not a fan of dumping leftovers onto something, but this was the right combo with an extra grilled chicken breast leftover! And don’t skip the bacon- its smoky flavor complements the BBQ sauce perfectly.

No-Rise Pizza Dough

-1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp yeast)
-1 teaspoon white sugar
-1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
-2 1/2 cups flour- I used white whole wheat
-2 tablespoons olive oil
-1 teaspoon salt

Optional add-ins:
-1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
-1/2 teaspoon chives, chopped

Pizza Toppings

-1 Grilled Chicken Breast, cooked and chopped
-1 Garlic Clove, sliced thin
-1/4 Cup of BBQ Sauce
-2 teaspoons Olive Oil
-1 Cup Cheeses, I used a blend (Cheddar, Parm, Mozzarella)
-2 Pieces Bacon, cooked and crumbled (or bacon bits)

Preheat oven to 450F. In a bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water (about 110F.) Let stand 10 minutes until frothy. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Sprinkle in garlic powder and chives if desired.

Roll or toss dough into a thin round. Place on an oiled baking sheet with cornmeal if available.

Spread a thin layer of BBQ sauce over the dough, leaving room for crust. Put down garlic, cheeses, bacon, and chicken. Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is golden brown and bubbly. Allow to cool for five minutes before serving.Enjoy!
