I love green beans. I could eat them raw, steamed, or as plain as it gets. Unfortunately, Darren doesn’t have the same sentiments. I have to doctor them up a little bit. Basically I just throw some random things in the skillet and write down my favorites. This is one of them- give it a try!


-1/2 lb. Fresh Green Beans
-1 teaspoon Olive Oil
-1/8 Cup Onions or Shallots, Chopped
-1 teaspoon Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
-1/8 Cup Cashews, Lightly Salted

Heat olive oil and onion in a skillet, until aromatic.

Add green beans and saute at medium heat for 3-5 minutes, until slightly soft.

Add cashews and soy sauce.

Saute for another minute or two until green beans are done to your liking. I like mine still slightly crunchy!
