I’ve been trying to eat healthier, really I have. Hitting the gym hard is getting old. Not going to lie, after starting this blog I noticed a little change. A little…jiggle. So, you may see some healthier dishes work their way in. I’m not going to sacrifice deliciousness because that would be absurd. And I’ll still include delicious, fat-filled, heavy cream and buttered up dinners and desserts, so don’t fear!
These meatballs are baked in the oven to perfection. Have you ever fried meatballs up in olive oil? It’s straight up MESSY. This saves you the effort and it makes it a touch healthier!
-1/4 Cup Plain Dried Bread Crumbs
-2 Tablespoons Milk
-1/3 Cup Egg Whites (Whites of 2 Eggs)
-1/2 Cup Grated Parmigiano Reggiano
-1 lb. Lean Ground Beef or Turkey
-2 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
-1 teaspoon Olive Oil
-Salt and Pepper, To Taste
Preheat oven to 350F.
Put seasonings, garlic, and parsley in a medium bowl.
Form into 1 ounce balls, about the size of a ping pong ball. Place on a baking sheet, lightly greased with olive oil.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and no longer pink in center.
Serve hot with spaghetti and sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra grated Parmesan cheese.
