If you haven’t realized by now, I’m no nutritionist.  This blog isn’t low-fat or low-carb.  So when I say “power smoothie” I don’t mean something you’d drink before heading to the gym.   Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, I’d like to share with you a great concoction I mixed up the other morning before work.

Why is this a power smoothie?  It has protein.  It has sugar.  And well, it has a little ice cream.  🙂


6-8 Frozen Strawberries, Slightly Thawed
– 1/4 Cup of Strawberry Ice Cream
-1/2 Cup of Vanilla or Strawberry Greek Yogurt
-Splash of Milk
-1/4 Cup Granola

Blend together strawberries, ice cream, and yogurt.  If needed, add a splash of milk to reach the desired consistency.  Sprinkle granola on top and eat with a spoon!
